Welcome to my corner of the web! I’m Dr. Kushan Dharmawardena, the Managing Director of Training Link International (Pvt) Ltd. I hold a Doctorate (DBA) from Aldresgate University, Philippines, Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Postgraduate Institute of Management (P.I.M.) at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Sri Lanka). Master’s Degree in Advanced Business Practice (MABP) from University of South Australia, Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Dip.Ed.) from the Northern Territory University of Darwin, Australia and became a proud member of the Hotel Catering and International Management Association (MHCIMA) in the United Kingdom and the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD).
With a career spanning over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse locations such as Sri Lanka, India, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, Dubai, Bangladesh, England, and Australia. My professional journey has covered a wide range of fields, including Training and Education, Sales & Marketing, Hotel and Catering Management, Leasing, Stock Broking, Merchant Banking, and Management Consultancy. I have a blend of holding many Senior Management positions and academic positions in reputed organisations in many countries that add to my real-life experience which contributes immensely to sharing knowledge that can be applied in my corporate workshops, book publications, consultancy assignments and coaching sessions.
In addition to my corporate experience, I’ve had the privilege of conducting training programs for over 200 renowned organizations, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and UNICEF. I’ve also organized management workshops, internationally, featuring highly esteemed international trainers.
My workshops are centered around the concept of “Experiential Learning,” designed to engage participants in challenging and enjoyable activities. This approach ensures that participants not only grasp key concepts easily but are also motivated to implement them effectively in their real-life endeavors. I also encourage participants to develop an action plan at the end of my workshops in order to track their progress methodically and take corrective action when and where necessary.
